Poured into a Pilsener glass. The appearance was a fairly dark brown color with some lighter hues of brown closer to the edge. Mellow finger's worth of off white foamy head slid off at nice pace. Some mild lace slid with the sips. The aroma had a wonderful blend of sweet dark fruits meshing with some cocoa powder, some German yeastiness - slightly lager-like, nice earthy hop spice with an ample amount of dark bread. The flavor took all of the prior mentioned aromas and combined to involve some sweet grains. This came together in the after taste with a mild graininess. The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a very nice sessionability about it. Carbonation felt great and so was the ABV. Very nice finish of dark fruits, sweet grains and a dusty cocoa powder. Overall, very nice Munich Dunkel lager I would very much like to have again. Perfect transition beer from Summer to Autumn.
